Time to shift the focus, rob... Ranger was good, but in all honesty, after seeing players like "the Mjollnir", "Groo" or my Damian Hawk (another Hercufleas scout), I think you can produce players better than him.

cheers cheers cheers

Hello NZ.

I've been gone for a very long time in this game, only keeping my account active by logging in every six weeks.

How's everything been going around here? What old faces are still around?

There are some old faces around with robelix, chewy, and smellystuff. Not much has been happening here but in the BR NZ clubroom there is an effort to improve the U20s

I want to train some NZ rep players again. Have cash to spend and all level 5 trainers. Anything around?

If you can hold your breath for a few weeks, Sylvester Lawless will likely be released in the end of season bot sale. @Bren hasn't logged in since October 24th, well over the six week limit.

I'd say PI. Same time zone as NZ, and a pretty active community. Good for AB farming, as in real life.. Wink

BTW, I also agree that losing @Bren would be a great loss for us and BR. Does anyone know how the six week limit works, can one log in even after it has expired? Is anyone in RL contact with Bren?

I believe after the sixth week the account is locked and you cannot log in. And in the following bot check, your team becomes bot. For several weeks the team can be still in "zombie" mode, where the manager can't connect and the team is doomed to become a bot.

Ouch, looks like you have ended in a difficult III division... One of the big fellas will promote and you will need to spend at least another season with the other one.

Some bronze/silver trophies waiting for you Smile

its hard not to go overboard when you begin....hiring trainers, expanding stadium, setting up youth facilities etc....I don't know my financial limits yet...it is tempting buy cheap good players of the TM, but then I might get stung with their salaries....

will be fun...hopefully get a good payday after the playoffs where I can then look at expanding a bit faster...

Thanks. It is a nice position to be in.

However I must say that it is in your best interests to not mention that you are doing very well in II.2 and demolishing everyone in the NZI Championship despite having no csr advantage. Best you remove that U20 WC silver trophy from your signature too. I say that you should be proud of the success your hard-work and talent has yielded but others will tell you have no class and a big head Laughing

Well, if @ivelostmysparky allows himself to jump in the discussion between @amz and @Chewy, I guess I can jump in when @ivelostmysparky makes mock of @Chewy's big head comment:

Indeed you used to be humbler, sparky

Sure, I could remain silent, look for not trouble and it would not do any bad to me. I'd probably do it if I were wiser or if I were a politician, but quite frankly, I am starting to get a bit pissed off at this all vs @Chewy stuff. The guy deserves some breathing space, I would have thought he has at least earned the right to be left alone for a while.

On the chewy vs amz thing - chewy takes any opportunity he can to attack and belittle amz. Have a look at the [S 32 33 ] national general chat thread.
@amz wrote:Lucky win by Los Teros but is the first vs NZ
The guy admits it was a lucky win and doesn't say anything even remotely inflammatory.

Then chewy gets annoyed at Ouzo making a lame joke about NZ and Eng choking in the WC and declares that Ouzo should be talking about PI beating SA rather than URU beating NZ.

Amz replies with "salty". Seems fair enough considering that I can't think of a reason why Ouzo shouldn't mention that URU got a win over NZ.

Chewy replies:
@chewy wrote:Dice rolled your way last game Amz. I guess that was just deserts for your first round failure.
Chewy decides to blame the RNG dice roll for his loss - yet neglects to mention he benefited from the RNG in his first round win. And he is wrong with the second part. That first round NZ vs URU was not a "failure" for amz apart from forgetting about timezones. Either chewy should have chosen a different word than "failure" or he didn't bother looking at the lineup that Uruguay rolled out. He then declares he didn't try in that game, yet doesn't mention that amz clearly didn't either.

As I said in the clubrooms: "You say you didn't try in that 1st round game. That's fair. However considering many of the Uruguay players in that game were involved in the LTNT 34-16 win against Australia 2 days prior (hence the 17% energy advantage you enjoyed) amz didn't try either, and I suspect it was a default lineup from Uruguay. Which brings us back to the fact that while Uruguay did have 1 level of intensity advantage, NZ were at home, had a 40k CSR advantage and a far superior (150k CSR) bench, and a large 17% energy advantage. The dice also rolled your way judging by the performance rating. Both teams didn't try. Yet NZ only won by 2 points....and lost by 2 points in the return fixture."

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Now let's have a look at the comments at the time of the 1st round game (page 6).
@chewy wrote:Fantastic win for the men in Black over newly promoted Uruguay! After being 10-29 down at the break, the Uruguyans ran out of steam - the All blacks posting 21 unanswered points to run out 31-29 winners. Battling off the higher intensity took its time, but the boys dug deep and grabbed the four points.
No mention of NZ having HGA, CSR advantage, an way stronger bench, and a huge energy advantage. Perhaps chewy is guilty here of having a big head and no class?

Amz replies:
@amz wrote:Congrats for win! This game was supposed to be on WNWIM but EE1 timezones are so confusing
Amz says congrats on the win (notice that he doesn't blame the roll of the dice) and is telling the truth with that it was supposed to be wnwim. If you don't believe me, check Uruguay's 1st round lineups and notice the double up on players, and the resulting poor average energy for that game.

@chewy wrote:Yep sure...... like I was meant to be Ltnt.
Chewy shows a lack of class by implying that amz is lying, and takes the piss.

@amz wrote:TNT with so many players that played Friday when I also played TNT vs Aussies? Yeah, rightm
amz points out that it is really obvious that he telling the truth if chewy looked at the lineups.

@chewy wrote:All good,I’ll take the win while you try and look for a second, with depleted energy.
Chewy doesn't believe an obvious truthful statement and gives a little jab for good measure.

This is the last of the conversation until a few days ago. At this point I considered telling chewy to wind his neck in and open his eyes to the truth looking right at him, but instead I bite my tongue and instead I reply to Ouzo about something unrelated.

-------------------------------------------
In conclusion I think chewy is talking out his hole, or at best, being economic with the truth or doesn't bother looking at opposition lineups. Some would even say that his comments towards amz are arrogant and lack class. Why chewy is obsessed with amz is beyond me. Perhaps some nasty PMs have been exchanged between them. Does chewy deserve breathing space and to be left alone? Or should someone point out his strange attacks on amz are unwarranted?
